About Wonderful Wednesdays... 
Wonderful Wednesdays is a faith-based after school program that promotes a safe and fun environment for K-5th grade students bused to Messiah after school until 5:30.

This session we're splitting gym out into two age groups so we can teach and play more developmentally appropriate games. There are all our activity groups on offer this session:

• Cooking & More! ‍Each week kids will get hands-on experience learning a fun, yummy recipe or wild kitchen-y experiment.
• Gym! We'll be getting active in the gym (and outside, weather permitting!) and learn some new games as well as play some great classics.
• Crafty Crafts!‍ Kids will get to get in touch with their creativity as they break out the markers, scissors and more to add to your at-home collection.
• New! Dance! Kids will have an opportunity to sample several different dance styles including jazz, tap, and ballet. No prior dance experience necessary and no dance shoes required (just socks!)

 Things to Know:

• The registration cost of $5 is per child for the whole session. It is not $5/week. This minimal charge helps supply snacks and other supplies for our program. Please register your child just one time.
• When registering your child, please select just one activity group. Your child will participate in this group for the duration of the session. Once the next session opens, you can register them for a different activity.
• Activity Groups are capacity limited. These are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and may be expanded as we're able.
• A simple snack will be provided. Please do not pack a snack for your child unless they have any dietary restrictions. Note any dietary restrictions in their medical note when you register.
• When registering you will be asked to indicate a back-up activity group so we can change assignments if needed based on various factors (behaviors, group size, etc) 
• Here is our pick-up process: 
  • Enter through the main entrance (Journeys entrance). Walk straight through to the hallway directly in front of you. A volunteer will check your ID. At 5:30 you will be allowed to go pick up your child at their classroom.
• Our volunteers all have up-to-date background checks

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

• Activity Group Helper as an activity group helper you will assist the group leader in teaching games, leading through crafts, participating with kids in their activity, building relationships and helping out in any way you can! 
  This is a great role is open to people 6th grade and older (adults invited and welcome!!)
